During March the senior management team made the decision to pause production across all of our branches until it was safe to return to work. The health, safety and well-being of our employees, family members, customers and supply chain were paramount in making this tough decision.

In the 36 years we have been operating the doors of DWB have never shut for longer than a Christmas break. Through high interest rates, stock market crashes, dot com busts and bank bail outs DWB has always remained open and producing. This is something we and those who came before us are immensely proud of. We are extremely proud also that during this crisis we have backed our staff when furloughed and guaranteed them the full 100% of their wages. DWB have not and will not miss a payment to our suppliers. Without the support of these people we wouldn’t be as strong as we are.

We’re entering our fifth week of this difficult period and PPE has become more readily available. We now have received guidance and procedures from the HSE and UK Government which we can enforce in our factories along with new cleaning measures. We feel that now we are able to keep people as safe as possible in our plants from contracting COVID-19.

With this in mind DWB Boston, Anglia and Hull will restart manufacturing with an orderly and safe return on Monday the 27th April.

To all our existing customers we can only express our gratitude for your patience during this trying time. We have been working closely with our customers to identify their production priorities so DWB can help them meet outstanding and immediate demand as they re-open sites.

We remain available for any design work or pricing at all three sites as required.
